Covid 19 Update
It is very encouraging that Scotland like rest of the UK is gradually and safely opening up from the latest lockdown. It is good to see the numbers of new cases falling, that much of the population has been or is in the process of being vaccinated and that there are glimpses of normality returning after what has been a very challenging and tough year for many people.
Here at The Swallow Theatre we are looking forward to restarting what we love doing most, which is bringing some of the UK’s best small-scale theatre and music to this corner of southwest Scotland.
The current situation is that theatres in Scotland can reopen on 17 May with 2 metre social distancing. At the moment there is no indication of when this distance rule may reduce which makes it financially unviable to use the theatre.
We do though have a reopening plan for a limited season of outdoor events in the garden starting in the summer.
