A wordless play about the messy side of love told through physical comedy, mime and a 1930s soundtrack.
Recommended Age : 9+
Crazy Glue is a tragicomedy about loss. Inspired by award-winning author Etgar Keret’s short story
They have a car in the garage, a chicken in the pot and a child on the way. But is that enough to make true love stick?
When a newly-wed couple realise the blossoming of their first love has given way to the thornier terrain of married life, they find just how far they will go to save their relationship. Inspired by the physical comedy of Buster Keaton and the madcap absurdity of Looney Tunes, Single Shoe Productions create a fusion of silent film nostalgia and cartoon antics. Two performers, backed by some of the greatest hits of the 1930s, communicate solely through their own invented language to reveal the mad, messy, sticky side of love.
Without using a single word Crazy Glue combines clowning, dance and mime into a universally accessible show guaranteed to enchant all ages and nationalities.
Premiering to critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2014, Crazy Glue has toured to Germany, Bulgaria, USA and England with the support of the National Lottery through Arts Council England. In the spring of 2017, the piece tours to Scotland with the support of Creative Scotland.
