Jazz-folk blues, finger-picking guitar and a great voice.

Sunjay’s style has a natural drift between folk and blues. He has been recognised with award nominations in both categories.

Drawing from a rich, musical and cultural background it is hardly surprising that Sunjay is recognised as one of the UK’s rising stars.

Sunjay has recently appeared as Buddy Holly in the Simon Fielder touring production of “Buddy Holly & The Cricketers”.

He has always been a big fan of Buddy Holly, and over the Summer he has recorded a new album Sunjay Sings Buddy which will be launched on December 15. The first song Sunjay learned to sing and play was a Buddy Holly song (Peggy Sue), and in the stage show Sunjay enjoyed the opportunity of singing some of his favourite numbers night after night, in front of hundreds of people.

Hopefully there will be one or two numbers from this collection when Sunjay appears at The Swallow Theatre.
