A delightful and engaging outdoor show featuring selected scenes from Shakespeare's most popular works.
Do you know your Bottom from your Puck…How about your Henry from your Hecate…Shakespeare buff or Bard blagger?
This exciting and fun-filled production is a fantastical tour through the world of Shakespeare for novice and aficionado alike.
Using scenes from A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest, Twelfth Night, Romeo and Juliet and more, The Globe Players (your tour guides) create an accessible and highly enjoyable journey through Shakespeare’s plays.
After an interval, your guides will continue the tour charting the development of Shakespeare’s life and works featuring many of his most famous scenes along the way. Extracts from Richard III, Macbeth, Romeo and Juliet and more are included, all designed to intrigue and entertain.
Join us in the garden…and don’t forget to bring a picnic. The performances will be held on the front lawn of The Swallow Theatre.
Please bring a camping chair or rug, and appropriate clothing. Picnics welcome: our usual range of hot and cold drinks will be available for purchase from the theatre bar.
In the event of bad weather the performance will move into the theatre.
